Maps
OSPAR has produced the OSPAR Database on offshore wind farms, which constitutes an inventory of all wind farm installations under the jurisdiction of the OSPAR Contracting Parties.
The OSPAR Database on offshore wind farms provides to the public information, for each installation, regarding its:
- Name
- Location
- Distance from the coast
- Number of turbines
- Current status (i.e. planned (under application), authorised, refused, operational, out-of-service and decommissioned)
- Capacity in MW
- Foundation type
- Waterdepth
- Height
- Environmental impact information
- Additional remarks
The database is completed with the map of locations of wind farms in the OSPAR maritime area.
This database is updated annually by the OSPAR Working Group on the Environmental Impact of Human Activities (EIHA), adopted by the Biodiversity Committee and published on the OSPAR website (www.ospar.org).
